First and foremost, I studied English as my main major at Hanoi University from 2011 to 2015. To be trained in a professional environment, I am quite confident about my English in both writting and speaking. However, I understand the importance of acquiring practical knowledge and terminology of specific fields, which will complement the academic knowledge and help me gain a wider perspective of the subjects in general and English speaking in particular.
As presented, I was a part-time officer and a teaching assistant as well at Asian Business Academy. My main responsibilities were holding a variety of conferences with other staff in the company and being a coach for soft skills training courses to give some necessary guidelines for secondary and high school students. As a result, I gained useful experience in organizing an event or working in a group.
Additionally, I worked at Minh Thuy family’s restaurant where I mainly served for foreign customers eleven months ago. When working this restaurant, I had many chances to communicate with the foreigners. Particularly, my manager is a German so I often had to use English as the major language to talk to him and translate some documents for him in the working process.
Furthermore, from the beginning of October 2014 to March 2015, I worked at Culture and Education Development Company as a translator collaborator for translating letters of supporters and children of World Vision from English to Vietnamese and vice versa. I have been also a freelancer in translation and interpreting.
Noticeably, I have worked as a part-time translator for An Phu Quoc Education Consultancy Company for five months to translate documents relating to contracts of business, sales, construction, tax and other relevant papers as well as doing administrative tasks. Therefore, thanks to these jobs, my English has been made important progress. I, however, still want to better and better improve my English skills and soft skills, especially working skills as well as gain more experiences in terms of this field.
Currently, I am working as a teaching assistant for online English classes of TOPICA EduTech Group since May, 2015. This job positively supports me in the process of English improvement in an effective way.
Remarkably, after graduating from Hanoi University with the degree in Interpreting and Translation of English, I worked at the Quality Assurance Department, TNG Trading and Investment Joint Stock Company, from August 2015 to March 2016. To be more precise, I was in charge of quality and technical quality of foreign partners to TNG's factories and controlling quality procedure and system of factories, so I could accumulate my working experience and gain the necessary working skills. Also, I have finished working as an interpreter volunteer for World Vision Vietnam for the summer project with Hong Kong University in Tien Lu, Hung Yen. In this project, I had great opportunity to take part in many useful activities of Tien Lu Area Development Program from POA planning process on major fields including capacity building, education, livelihoods, children issues and health; interviews with locals on reading habits, wash, MVC survey; etc.
Beside working experience, I am also competent at some essential skills: teamwork skills, communication skills, time-management skills and computer skills.
As for my personalities, I consider myself as a self-motivated, careful, enthusiastic and responsible person. I do not mind working overtime to fulfill the assigned duties. Addionally, I am healthy and passionate enough to be willing to learn and do what takes to get a job done well under pressure or on far mission.
To be honest, laden with textbook knowledge, I wish to put what I have learned in lectures into the practice so this is the valuable chance for me to prove myself when putting my effort into assigned duties. This is also a better way to prove that I have been truly benefited by this education. I believe that my abilities will meet your requirements.
